By accessing or using ShopTap, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About ShopTap

ShopTap is a conversational commerce platform that enables businesses to sell products and services through WhatsApp. The platform includes an AI-powered chatbot, a public storefront, a web dashboard, order management, and mobile money payment collection.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to operate the business you register.

3. Account Registration

To use ShopTap, you must create an account via the web dashboard or WhatsApp (Micro plan only). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Plans & Pricing

  • ShopTap offers four plans: Micro, Essentials, Plus, and Premium.
  • Each plan has a one-time setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription fee (except Micro, which has no monthly fee).
  • Transaction fees are charged per order processed through the platform.
  • Essentials, Plus, and Premium plans include a 14-day free trial. No payment is required during the trial period.
  • Prices are listed in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

5. Billing & Payments

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Transaction fees are billed at the end of each billing cycle. Payments are collected via mobile money or other supported methods. Overdue accounts may be suspended after a grace period.

6. Free Trial

Essentials, Plus, and Premium plans include a 14-day free trial starting from the date of account activation. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and billing will commence.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use ShopTap for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
  • Sell prohibited goods or services through the platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems.
  • Misrepresent your identity or business information.

8. WhatsApp Bot & AI

ShopTap provides an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot that interacts with your customers. While we strive for accuracy, automated responses may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. You are responsible for monitoring bot interactions and using the human takeover feature when needed. ShopTap is not liable for any loss arising from automated responses.

9. Storefront

ShopTap provides a public storefront for your products. You are responsible for the accuracy of product information, prices, images, and stock levels. ShopTap branded storefronts include a “Powered by ShopTap” badge. Custom branding is available on Plus and Premium plans.

10. Intellectual Property

All ShopTap branding, software, designs, and content are owned by ShopTap. You retain ownership of your business data, product content, and customer information. By uploading content, you grant ShopTap a licence to display it on your storefront and through the bot as part of the service.

11. Account Suspension & Termination

  • ShopTap may suspend accounts with overdue balances beyond the configured threshold.
  • Bot service, storefront, and dashboard access will be unavailable during suspension.
  • Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice.
  • Outstanding balances remain due on termination.
  • ShopTap reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms immediately and without notice.

12. Data & Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using ShopTap, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in that policy.

13. Service Availability

ShopTap aims to maintain high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Uptime SLAs vary by plan (99% for Essentials, 99.5% for Plus, 99.9% for Premium). Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopTap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to ShopTap in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of ShopTap after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Accra, Ghana.
